Sk8Trip: Slaying The Giant

What better way to try out the new Liquid Trucks than to pack up your gear and go on a road trip? In this episode the Sk8Trip crew heads north to Mike Fitter's house in Vancouver for some pre-race practice and freeriding sessions. Everything was going buttery smooth until it became painfully obvious that wearing shorts while filming in the middle of poison ivy is a bad idea. Although Michael (Alfuso) was supposed to be capturing others fancy footwork, he ended up shooting himself in the leg (pun intended). Mother Nature continued her mean streak and right on cue the skies opened up and spat on the skaters as they scrambled to assemble their tents in Summerland. But this was the just the dark before the dawn. The next several days were perfect for sessioning before, during, and after the Giants Head Freeride event. Sick cornering, radical ramp riding, hard charging, and team pack runs was only part of the fun. It was also found to be highly entertaining to flood the course with pine cones whenever a-hole extraordinaire Riley Harris was on course. Bonus points for wiping him out and leaving the other guy standing. Justice, sweet justice baby. "Give the people what they want, give the people what they need. Give the people what they want. Everything, everything ..."
